Day 1: Johannesburg
Today is an arrivals day. You Can arrive any time today, your accommodation has been pre-booked for you at Safari Club Hotel, they are 5 minutes from the Airport and operate their own Airport Transfer service, your consultant will give you full details on how this works in your confirmation voucher.

Day 2: Johannesburg to Greater Kruger National Park
This Kruger adventure tour begins with an early morning departure from Johannesburg to beat the morning traffic. Our journey takes us across the “high veld” to the Drakensburg escarpment, where we descend into the “low veld” – ideal conditions for wildlife. On arrival at the lodge, we have lunch and some time to unwind before our first game drive. This afternoon / evening game drive takes place in the private reserves and gives us our first opportunity to view Africa’s incredible wildlife, including the Big 5. Dinner is enjoyed in the “Boma”

Day 3: Kruger Park
The day begins early with tea and coffee before heading for the Kruger Park in our 4x4 open vehicle. We enter the park as the Kruger gates open and enjoy a sunrise game drive. These especially adapted vehicle allow for excellent game viewing – have your cameras ready. A mid-morning stop for a bush brunch and our search for wildlife continues. The guides have an in depth knowledge of the Kruger Park and know all the best waterholes to spot wildlife. We continue our search for the Big 5. After a full day of safari, we leave the park at sunset and head back to the lodge for dinner.

Day 4: Kruger Park to Johannesburg
An early morning guided nature walk gives us a chance to learn about spoor (tracks) of the various animals, stalk wildlife and more. After a hearty breakfast we depart for the Blyde River canyon and Three Rondawels (part of the Panorama route) to enjoy the incredible scenery. Our Kruger Park adventure finishes late afternoon in Johannesburg. You will be dropped of directly at the airport for an Evening Flight to Cape Town, the Airfare is not included in your Tour Fare however your consultant can help with this and advise you on the best flight to book. The flight needs to be booked for 7.15pm or after.
On Arrival in Cape Town an Airport Transfer will pick you up and take you to your hotel for a good night’s rest.

Day 5: Cape Town
Today is a Rest day and your first day in Cape Town. There are no activities planned for today, after a busy few days in the Kruger you can take it easy and use this day as an introductory day to Cape Town. We will book you a hotel centered within Cape Town, we suggest you take the red bus around for some of the day, a wonderful way to explore this beautiful city nestled under Table Mountain. If the weather is good use the red bus to take you to the Cable Car which takes you to the top of Table Mountain. It's your day to enjoy, if you need help or advice your booking consultant will be happy to advise. Do remember tomorrow you will start early an exciting tour of the Garden Route and you will have 2 more days in Cape Town at the end. Why not finish the day off by the V&A Waterfront and choose from a variety of restaurants next to the harbour?

Day 6: Cape Town - Oudtshoorn
Depart Cape Town at 6am and head up to Oudtshoorn in the Little Karoo semi desert area and also the ostrich capital of the World. This drive follows the world-famous Route 62 and we'll stop at Ronnie's sex shop en-route for a refreshing drink! We’ll visit the Cango Caves for a tour through this magnificent cave system and also visit an ostrich farm for a closer look at this enormous bird. You can even try your luck at riding one! Tonight, we’ll stay in Oudtshoorn and have a delicious ostrich braai for dinner.

Day 7: Oudtshoorn - Plettenberg Bay
Leaving Oudtshoorn we'll cross the mountain range to the coast and the gorgeous Garden Route. Our first stop is the scenic 'map of Africa' lookout in the Wilderness and then we're off to Knysna (consistently voted as South Africa's favourite town). Here we will visit the Knysna Heads, Waterfront, markets and explore thoroughly. After Knysna we pass through Plettenberg Bay and overnight in Storms River Village.

Day 8: Plettenberg Bay - Addo Elephant Park
The magnificent Tsitsikamma National Park awaits us this morning. Thundering waves, thick forest, plentiful birdlife and otters, this National Park has it all! Walk the coastal route to the hanging bridge over Storms River Mouth and experience what makes this the most scenic park in South Africa. From here we'll head onto the Addo elephant National Park and your opportunity to spot huge elephant herds, various antelope species, dung beetles galore and more. For those who are not interested in Addo, we drive through Jeffrey’s Bay – the surfing Capital of South Africa! Shopping, surfing, sun & beautiful white beaches will keep you occupied until sunset falls upon this beautiful town! Tonight, we overnight in Jeffrey’s Bay.

Day 9: Addo - Garden Route Game Lodge
From the Eastern Cape we head back towards the Garden Route and to the World’s highest Bungy at Bloukrantz (plenty of time to jump for those thrill seekers). This 216 m high bungy is a true marvel to behold, even for those that have a fear of heights! Our journey leads us to the Garden Route Game Lodge where we will also overnight in the luxury accommodation. We will do a late afternoon safari drive where we have the opportunity to view rhino, lion, buffalo, cheetah and many varieties of antelope species. A sumptuous and varied buffet dinner is served at the lodge and is yet another highlight!

Day 10: Garden Route Game Lodge - Hermanus - Cape Town
We start the day early with a morning safari drive to see some of those animals that we did not see the previous evening. Departing round lunch time, we head towards Hermanus and the best land-based whale watching site in the world (June-December). The Southern Right whales are making a dramatic comeback after nearly becoming extinct a mere 50 years ago. We return to Cape Town late afternoon via the stunning False Bay coastline where with luck we’ll see some dolphins to welcome us home. On Arrival in Cape Town you will be dropped off at your hotel, expect to arrive around 5pm, say goodbye to your fellow travellers from your garden Route Tour, hopefully with a camera full of exciting photos.

Day 11: Cape Town
Today is a full day in Cape Town, we would have pre-booked you on a Cape Peninsular Day Trip.
Enjoy a day trip along the famous Cape Peninsula, known for its ocean and mountain beauty. Take a drive along the spectacular Chapman's Peak Drive, arguably one of the most beautiful scenic coastal drives in the world, with stunning views. Head for the False bay coastline to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and the famous Cape Point. Hike to the top lighthouse of Cape Point and then drive down to the famous Cape of Good Hope. After a photo at the sign for South Westernmost tip of the African Continent, we carry on to Boulders Beach penguin colony in Simon's town where you have opportunity to meet the penguins, maybe have a swim. Finally, to end the day we take a walk through undoubtedly one of the most amazing gardens in the world...Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

Day 12: Cape Town - Home
Your travel service can come to an end today, if you have more time, we can easily add another night onto your booking. Check out of your hotel is at 10am, Your consultant can arrange an airport transfer if needed for an extra charge or the hotel will gladly do this for you. If you have the morning free, we advise going up Table Mountain if you did not manage on previous days due to weather, alternatively you can do a quickie morning trip to the winelands or even visit the townships. Perhaps some last-minute shopping at Greenmarket square where you can barter for African curios. You might even decide a last morning walk on the beach and bit of sun before your flight home. Please speak to your consultant about your flight times and they will advise accordingly.
