Day 1: Dar es Salaam
Today is an arrivals day. You have the chance to explore Dar es Salaam at your own leisure.
Meals: None
Day 2: Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar
Today we take a ferry trip from Dar es Salaam to ‘Spice Island’ where we will be staying for the next three nights.
Meals: Breakfast

Day 3 & 4: Zanzibar
Zanzibar has a rich history and a vibrant culture with some remaining Arabic influences in the Old Stone town. There are some interesting shops and palaces of the Sultans. We can visit a Spice plantation with it’s fragrant spices, visit the stunning beaches or take a trip to Prison island to see the giant tortoises. There are fishing trips available in a traditional Dhow or we can hire Mopeds to explore the island. There are plenty of Seafood restaurants scattered around the area for an affordable seafood dining experience.

Day 5: Zanzibar to Mikumi
This afternoon we depart from Zanzibar and head back to Mikumi National park and do some game viewing. We spend the night here.

Day 6: Mikumi to Iringa
Today we travel through Mikumi National Park where we can see some wildlife along the way. Our journey takes us towards Iringa. Tonight we stay in a lovely rustic campsite acclaimed for it’s Amarula Hot Chocolates and it’s steamy showers.

Day 7 to 9: Iringa to Lake Malawi (Malawi)
We travel through the strikingly picturesque Tukuyu tea and banana plantations towards Malawi and it’s border at Songwe. We take a trip along the length of the western side of Lake Malawi stopping at some bays and inlets over the coming 3 days. There are plenty of interesting optional activities such as learning the game of bao from the locals, exploring the markets, relaxing on the stunning beaches, taking a dugout canoe across the lake, watching the fishermen return with their catch of the day, water sports, horseback riding or we may visit a local village and school.

Day 10: Lake Malawi to South Luangwa National Park (Zambia)
We travel away from Lake Malawi, stop over at the capital, Lilongwe to gather some supplies and cross over in Zambia where we overnight in the awe-inspiring South Luangwa National Park.

Day 11: Luangwa National Park
Today we travel within Luangwa National park doing some game viewing. We can see wildlife like Giraffe, Buffalo, Elephant, Hippo and Crocodiles.

Included Activity: Game Drives through South Luangwa National Park in tour vehicle
Day 12: Luangwa National Park to Lusaka
Today we leave this magnificent National Park and travel down south. We pass some villages and towns of Zambia on our journey.

Optional Activity: Zambezi Sunset river boat cruise
Day 13: Lusaka to Livingstone
Today we head down further south to Livingstone. We can view the mighty Victoria Falls from Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, Zambia and get the opportunity for a truly perfect photograph of the falls. There is a chance to have a lovely sunset river boat cruise this evening.

Day 14: Livingstone to Chobe National Park (Botswana)
Today we depart from Zambia and head for the Botswana border at the Kazangula Ferry. We then travel to the town of Kasane, based on the banks of the Chobe river. We have some lunch and unwind. Later in the afternoon we set off for our Chobe National Park Overnight Mobile Excursion. The afternoon is filled with a game drive and we spend the night listening to the calls of the wild of Africa.

Day 15: Chobe National Park to Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)
As we return to our campsite we get on our tour truck and make our way to the Zimbabwe border. Close by is Victoria Falls based on the Zambezi River and Victoria Falls National Park. We are camping in the middle of all the action, walking distance from booking agents, restaurants and shops. We can either unwind in the campsite this afternoon or go view the Falls which is only a short walk away.

Day 16 & 17: Victoria Falls
The following couple of days are spent unwinding or taking part in the various optional activities on offer.
Meals: Breakfast on both days
Optional Activity: Bungee jumping, abseiling, flights in fixed wing, micro light and ultra-light aircrafts, helicopter rides, white water rafting and floats
Day 18: Victoria Falls to Chobe National Park (Botswana)
This morning we have breakfast and then cross the border of Botswana and make our way to Kasane.

Day 19: Chobe National Park to Kasane
We return to our campsite and have some time to unwind in our own time. There is an option to take a boat cruise on the Chobe River or you can just take a dip in the swimming pool.

Day 20: Kasane to Maun
We start off in Maun to take our journey to the Delta. This evening we get ourselves sorted out with our provisions and packs for our overnight excursion.

Day 21: Maun to Okavango Delta
Today we have the chance to do the included overnight excursion into the Delta. We get up bright and early, pack up and drive 2 hours to the Mokoro Poler’s station. We are greeted by our Polers and make our way on to the waterways. Our mobile tented camp is a couple of hours in to the waterways. There is an option to do some more Mokoro trails or partake in a guided bushwalk or you can choose just to unwind in the campsite.

Day 22: Okavango Delta to Maun
Today we take our Mokoro ride and then transfer to vehicles. When we reach Maun around lunch time we have the opportunity to take a scenic flight over the Delta (dependent on weather conditions & availability).

Day 23: Maun to Ghanzi
Today we travel to the little village of Ghanzi, our final evening in Botswana. There is a Bushman/San experience held by the campsite that we can partake in.

Day 24: Ghanzi to Windhoek (Namibia)
Today we travel past little rural towns and picturesque landscapes as we make our way to Windhoek. We have the opportunity to explore the city in our own time this afternoon. Take a tour at a local museum, explore the markets or do some shopping for souvenirs.

Optional Activity: Dinner at Joe’s Beer House
Day 25: Windhoek to Etosha National Park Area
We leave Windhoek and continue onwards to Etosha National Park. With it’s enormous variations of wildlife and birds, we take the gravel roads to reach the remotest of places for some game viewing. We have lunch and cool down from the heat of the African sun and then explore the northern area of the park. Once we have had dinner we can spot some animals coming to the waterhole for a drink.

Day 26: Etosha National Park
Today our journey takes us across the park for a full day of game viewing. We exit the park to our camp outside of the park. We can enjoy a swim in the pool and unwind tonight in the unusual bar.

Day 27 & 28: Etosha National Park Area
Today we drive through the Namibian countryside to Etosha National Park where we camp for the night.

Day 29: Brandberg (UIS) to Swakopmund
Today we travel to Swakopmund, via Spitzkoppe. There are some lovely coffee shops, restaurants and bars as well as arts and craft shops in Swakopmund. We can take a walk on the beaches, go to an interesting museum, visit some galleries or go to the aquarium.

Day 30: Swakopmund
Today can be enjoyed at our own leisure. There are a variety of optional activities on offer to delve in to.

Optional Activities: Skydiving, quad biking, sandboarding, scenic desert flights, dolphin cruises, fishing trips, golf, horse riding and more
Day 31 & 32: Swakopmund to Sesriem
We leave Swakopmund and continue to Walvis Bay and then head for the desert. We reach Namib Naukluft Park and our base at Sesriem. We can experience seeing the highest dunes in the world in Sossusvlei.

Day 33: Sesriem to Fish River Canyon
This morning we head out early to see the African sunrise come over the dunes and then make our way to Fish River Canyon. We stop at a variety of view points to take in the splendor of this canyon, one of the biggest in the world.

Day 34: Fish river Canyon to Gariep River (South Africa)
This morning we travel south to get to the Gariep River. Our lovely campsite is right on the South African bank of the river. We can see the variety of birdlife that inhabits this area. Our camp bar overlooks the river.

Day 35: Orange River to Cedarberg
We rise early and make our way south to the mining town of Springbok and then reach Namaqualand where in the spring months an array of colourful wildflowers can be seen.

Day 36: Cedarberg to Cape Town
Today we depart from the picturesque Cedarberg area and make our way south towards Cape Town. Our journey takes us past the abundant fruit growing area of Citrusdal and then the Piekenierskloof Pass towards the Cape wine growing region. As we drive we can see Table mountain in the distance, that’s when we have started to reach our destination, Cape Town.

Day 37: Cape Town
Today our tour ends in Cape Town. We exchange addresses and go our separate ways.
