Day 1: Arusha
Today our adventure begins by leaving Nairobi early and we make our way to the border of Tanzania. We continue to Arusha where we stay for the night. Those guests who have purchased the optional Serengeti Excursion upgrade, get briefed by our guides for the following days.

Day 2: Karatu
We travel closer to the Ngorongoro Crater. as we arrive in Karatu, we are briefed on our excursion in the Crater. The Serengeti Upgrade guests will be collected for their excursion this morning.

Optional Activity: 3 Night Serengeti Camping Excursion
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater Excursion
We are up bright and early and we are transferred to 4x4 safari vehicles. We set off on search for wildlife in the stunning Crater.

Day 4: Karatu
We wake up early for a hike to the elephant Caves. The remainder of the day is spent relaxing or taking part in optional activities, including a village walk or visiting Lake Manyara national Park.

Day 5: Arusha
This morning we jump on our tour truck and drive to Arusha, our fellow travellers from the Serengeti upgrade excursion rejoin the group.

Day 6: Bagamoyo
This morning we make our way to Bagamoyo, our starting point for our Zanzibar excursion. The road is full of busy markets and villages along side some beautiful scenery.

Day 7: Nungwi (Zanzibar)
Today we embark on a short trip to Dar es Salaam and board a ferry towards Zanzibar. We then travel to Nungwi.

Day 8: Nungwi
An exciting day to experience the myriad of optional activities in the area, including fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving and a variety of ocean safari options. Explore the beauty of Nungwi by renting a scooter.

Optional Activities: Fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, turtle sanctuary visit, village tours and more
Day 9: Nungwi to Stone Town
We take and adventurous stride to the majestic Jozani Forest before leaving Nungwi and we continue on our way to Stone Town. Our afternoon is spent taking a trip to Prison island, where slaves were previously detained.

Day 10: Mikumi
This morning we make our way to Mikumi National Park and it’s wilderness. In the afternoon we have a chance to do a game drive.

Day 11: Iringa
We travel to Iringa with it's interesting German colonial buildings and popular market

Day 12 - 15: Lake Malawi
Today we travel north along the lake to our next stop where we will spend the next three nights soaking up the splendour of Malawi. The swimming and snorkeling are amazing and one can spend hours in the warm water. For those with energy there is an opportunity to hike up the Nyika Plateaux to Livingstonia. Malawi provides the ideal setting to relax (chill out in one of hammocks) and to explore the local villages. The people are welcoming and one can browse the local markets. We take some time to visit the village of Ngala.

Day 16: South Luangwa
We enjoy the final sunrise at Lake Malawi and make our way to Zambia and South Luangwa National Park wher we can experience a wonderful sunset.

Day 17: South Luangwa
We have a full day exploring the park on search for wildlife. We have a chance to do an optional morning safari during the dry season ( April to December) or take a walk in the park.

Optional Activity: Safari Walk (seasonal) or Morning Game Drive in South Luangwa
Day 18: Petauke
We leave the Luangwa valley and stop over at Tribal textiles. Our overnight stop is in the small town of Petauke

Included Highlight: Textile project visit (full tour available March to December)
Day 19: Lusaka
Today the road takes us past interesting little villages and subsistence farms on our way to Lusaka.

Day 20: Victoria Falls
We travel to the adventure town of Victoria Falls. There are many optional activities to take part in. Our tour comes to an end here.
