Day 1: Nairobi
Today is an arrivals day. You have the chance to explore Nairobi at your own leisure.
Meals: None
Day 2: Nairobi to Arusha (Tanzania)
Today we depart from the busy city of Nairobi and we cross the border into Tanzania at Namanga. This evening we stay in a marvelous campsite in Meserani just outside of Arusha.
Meals: Lunch, Dinner
Day 3: Arusha to Karatu (Optional)
Today we tour the Meserani Reptile Park and Masai Cultural Museum. The town of Arusha is in close proximity and there is a gallery selling colourful Ting Tinga paintings near the campsite. We have some lunch with Mount Meru in full view and then we take 4x4 vehicles for an interesting drive. We depart from camp and drive via the Masai Town of Mtu Wa Mbu that is placed next to Lake Manyara National Park. We head for Karatu where our campsite is situated.

Day 4: Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park
This morning we are up bright and early and leave for the Ngorongoro Conservation region and make our way to the abundant Ngorongoro Crater. This is where we can see some of the best game viewing in Africa and can see animals such as Black Rhino. We enjoy our game drive and then drive past the ‘Cradle of Mankind’ towards the Serengeti National Park. Tonight we camp in an unfenced area under the African stars.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park to Arusha
This morning we take a game drive on search for the Big 5, travel along the abundant Crater rim to our tour truck at Arusha where we spend the night marveling over the experiences of the day.

Day 6: Arusha to Pangani
This morning we gather our supplies in Arusha and start heading towards Dar es Salaam. We pass through the town of Moshi and the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, a great photo opportunity. We then continue onwards past sisal plantations and the Usumbara and Pare Mountains. We reach our fantastic campsite surrounded by the mountains, midway between Arusha and Dar es Salaam.

Day 7: Pangani to Dar es Salaam
Today we travel to Dar es Salaam. We pass abundant scenery and palm tress as we get closer to the Indian Ocean. We camp in a stunning seaside campsite.

Day 8: Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar (Optional)
Today we take a ferry from Dar es Salaam to ‘Spice Island’ where we have the chance to stay for the next 3 nights.

Included Activity: Spice Tour & Dhow Excursion, Zanzibar Excursion
Day 9 & 10: Zanzibar
Zanzibar with it’s rich history and Arabic influences offers many interesting experiences. We can explore the Old Stone Town with it’s majestic palaces of the Sultans, go on a spice tour with it’s fragrant spices at spice plantation or take a trip to the stunning beaches and giant tortoises of Prison Island. There are optional activities such as scuba diving, mopeds to explore the area or we can take a fishing excursion on a traditional Dhow. Seafood is plentiful and cheap and we can enjoy some of the various restaurants scattered around the area.

Day 11: Zanzibar to Mikumi
Today we depart from Dar es Salaam, we travel through Mikumi National Park where we can view some wildlife. This is where we sleep for the evening.

Day 12: Mikumi to Iringa
Today we depart from Mikumi National Park towards Iringa. Tonight we camp in a fantastic rustic campsite where we can sample some Amarula Hot Chocolates.

Day 13 – 15: Iringa to Lake Malawi (Malawi)
Today we travel past the Tukuyu tea and banana plantations and make our way to Malawi and it’s border. We tour the western side of Lake Malawi and stop over at assorted bays and inlets over the next three days. We can learn the game of bao from the locals, explore the markets on search for souvenirs or watch some local fishermen with their catch of the day. There are a multitude of optional activities such as paddling in a canoe, water sports, horseback riding or we can take a tour of a local school or village.

Day 16 & 17: Lake Malawi to Luangwa National Park
Today we depart from Malawi and travel to Zambia. Luangwa National Park is right on the Luangwa River in East Zambia. We can see animals such as Giraffe, Buffalo, Elephant, Hippo and Crocodiles.

Day 18: Luangwa National Park to Lusaka
Today we leave this breathtaking National Park and travel down south. We pass a variety of interesting Zambian towns and villages as we go.

Day 19: Lusaka to Livingstone
We travel deeper south passing farmlands on the way to Livingstone. We reach the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, Zambia where we have the chance for a beautiful photo of Victoria Falls. This evening there is an opportunity to take a sunset dinner cruise on the magnificent Zambezi.

Day 20: Livingstone to Chobe National Park (Botswana)
Today we depart from Zambia and head for Botswana and it’s border. We then make our way to Kasane, right on the banks of the Chobe River. We have lunch and take some time to unwind. Later we head for our Chobe National Park Overnight Mobile Excursion. We search for the variety of wildlife in the park on a game drive. Tonight we enjoy the nighttime noises of wild Africa.

Day 21: Chobe National Park to Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)
As we return to camp, we get on the tour truck and travel to the border of Zimbabwe and then make our way to Victoria Falls. Our campsite is in the center of town. There are a variety of shops, restaurants and booking agents. In the afternoon we can enjoy the swimming pool, go have a look at Victoria Falls or do some optional activities on offer.

Day 22 & 23: Victoria Falls
For the following two days we can marvel in the multitude of optional excursions available or just unwind at our own leisure.
Meals: Breakfast on both days
Optional Activities: Elephant back safaris, horseback safaris, visit to the crocodile ranch, boat cruises and golf at the Elephant Hills Resort, bungee jumping, abseiling, fixed wing, microlight and ultra-light aircraft flights, helicopter rides, white water rafting, floats
Day 24: Victoria Falls to Chobe National Park (Botswana)
This morning we have breakfast and travel to the border of Botswana and make our way to Kasane where we camp on the banks of the Chobe River. We can view elephants, hippo and birds from the campsite.

Day 25: Kasane to Nata Region
Today we leave the stunning scenery of Botswana and travel to our next destination our campsite, Elephant Sands. We have the chance to take part in a game drive or bushwalk.

Day 26: Nata Region to Maun
Today we begin in Maun and tour to the Okavango Delta
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 27: Maun to Okavango Delta
We now have a chance to do an overnight included excursion into the Delta. We wake up early and travel to the mokoro poler’s station. We meet our polers and set out on the waterways. This afternoon we can take a guided walk, more mokoro trails or take a trip in a canoe at our lovely campsite.

Day 28: Okavango Delta to Maun
This morning we can take a last game walk before we tour to Maun. We reach our destination in the afternoon and we have the chance to take a scenic flight over the Delta (dependent on weather conditions & availability).

Day 29: Maun to Palapye
This morning we leave early for a long drive to Palapye, based halfway between Francistown and Gaborone.

Day 30: Palapye to Polokwane (South Africa)
Today we travel to the South African border and head for our camp situated by the Blyde River Canyon. We tour to the three Rondavels and God’s window.

Day 31: Polokwane to Nkambeni Camp
Today we tour the stunning Panorama Route stopping at some breathtaking viewpoints. We make our way to Kruger National Park where we camp for the night.

Day 32: Nkambeni Camp
Today we tour the magnificent Kruger National Park in our tour truck on search for the Big 5.

Day 33: Nkambeni Camp to Johannesburg
This morning we have a lovely breakfast and travel to Johannesburg where our tour comes to an end.
